In Greco-Roman Mythology, the Oceanus were the beautiful and divine nature spirits who ruled over the fresh water elements of earth. They were the daughters of the fresh-water stream Okeanos and his wife Tethys. These goddesses included cloud, breeze, fountain, and floral nymphs. It was their job to watch over the plants and animals who dwelled within their domain, and were seen as the protectors of young girls.
